Susan Collins, the Republican incumbent, announced on February 10 that she would run again. The Democratic nomination went to Graham Platner on June 9, by 77.7 percent to 16.7 over Janet Mills, per the Bangor Daily News. Mills had suspended her campaign in April but remained on the ballot.
